Pudelma
Pudelma is the culmination of a summer design and fabrication workshop that took place in Manhattan and Finland. The pavilion was commissioned by the City of Turku as part of it's European Capital of Culture selection. Because of Finland's rich history of wood construction, the pavilion is a celebration of material. The stages of design, prototyping, assembly, and occupation can be seen in the accompanying images. After completion, the pavilion became a popular local hangout. Originally intended to be on site for a month, the duration was extended indefinitely and the pavilion still stands almost 3 years later.
